Formula Information
GrowBack's Finasteride 0.25% and Minoxidil 7% Scalp Serum is a specially compounded liquid formulation designed for topical application to the scalp. This unique blend of active ingredients is dispensed in a dropper bottle for precise and controlled administration, ensuring targeted treatment for a variety of hair loss and scalp conditions.
Finasteride 0.1% is a type of medication known as a 5-alpha-reductase inhibitor. It works by targeting the enzyme 5-alpha-reductase, which is responsible for the conversion of testosterone to dihydrotestosterone (DHT). DHT is a hormone that has been implicated in the miniaturisation of hair follicles, leading to hair loss. By inhibiting this enzyme, finasteride effectively reduces DHT levels in the scalp, which helps to halt the progression of hair loss and in some cases, may even reverse it by allowing hair follicles to regain their normal size and function.
Minoxidil, a potent vasodilator, works by increasing blood flow to the scalp, thereby stimulating hair growth. Minoxidil may stimulate the growth of human hairs by prolonging anagen through these proliferative and anti-apoptotic effects on dermal papillary cells (DPCs). Minoxidil, the second active ingredient, is a well-known vasodilator that has been proven to stimulate hair growth and slow balding. It functions by widening blood vessels and opening potassium channels, which allows more oxygen, blood, and nutrients to the follicle. This results in a revitalisation of shrunken hair follicles, increasing their size, and prolonging the growth phase of the hair cycle.
This powerful combination formulation is an effective treatment for a range of hair loss and scalp conditions, including male and female pattern baldness, alopecia areata, and preventative hair loss.
When used as directed, this formulation is safe and effective. It is important for patients to adhere to our prescribers instructions for use and not to exceed the recommended dosage.
Potential side effects may include scalp irritation, dryness, and itching. It is recommended to consult with a healthcare professional if these or any other side effects occur.
The carrier agent used to deliver the active ingredient to your scalp is free from the potentially harsh chemicals ethanol and propylene glycol. We opted for a highly spreadable hydrophilic solution containing mineral salts of vegetable origin (TrichoSol™). Making this an alcohol-free treatment.
Base solution (TrichoSol™): Aqua, lactic Acid, polysorbate 80, lavandula officinalis water parfum phenoxyethanol, rosmarinus officinalis leaf oil, ethylhexylglycerin, BHT, juniperus communis fruit oil, juniperus virginiana wood oil, amyris balsamifera bark oil, lavandula angustifolia herb oil, melaleuca alternifolia leaf oil, eucalyptus globulus leaf oil.

How Does It Work
Finasteride 0.25% is a type of medication known as a 5-alpha-reductase inhibitor.
Minoxidil is a well-known vasodilator that is commonly used to treat hair loss. It works by widening blood vessels and opening potassium channels, which allows more oxygen, blood, and nutrients to reach the hair follicles. This action can stimulate hair growth and extend the growth phase of the hair cycle.
When Will I See Results?

In the rare instance, that the results are not as desirable as you want, we can increase the strength or add other active ingredients based on your hair health profile. The best results will come from continued use of your recommended treatments and are seen after 4-6 months. You will need to maintain the treatment for continual growth and reduced hair shedding.
